Servicing
At Somerset Mobility & Stairlifts we offer unique service plans to suit all of our customers. Most regular services should take no longer than 30 to 35 minutes (depending on stairlift) and we recommend that stairlifts should be serviced once a year to keep them operating safely and efficiently.
Our routine service comprises of a thorough check of all retaining and holding bolts, all screws, checking safety components are fully working, cleaning the stairlift and the rail, checking rollers, checking remotes work correctly, lubricating all moving parts and checking seat belts are working safely.
Service plans explained
Our service plans have been created to give the customer peace of mind in keeping their stairlift in full working order and protection at a later date for if their stairlift was to ever break down.
An up-front cost is paid for per year in which the customer would receive a service, reduced call out fee, reduced labour charge and so forth. There are a number of different priced service plans to suit your budget.

Stairlift Servicing

PLEASE NOTE STAIRLIFTS MUST BE IN WORKING ORDER WHEN TAKING OUT A SERVICE PLAN. IF STAIRLIFTS ARE NOT WORKING NORMAL CHARGES WILL APPLY.
Scooter servicing
- If you bring the scooter into the shop – £50.00
- Collection & Delivery – £80.00
Powerchairs servicing
- If you bring the powerchair into the shop – £50.00
